Overview
The Rogue SR-343 Mach Speed Rope is a specialized, precision-engineered speed rope inspired by the "Mach" speed of sound (approx. 343 meters per second). It is designed for elite athletes who require the fastest possible cycle rate for competitive double-unders and triple-unders. By combining lightweight CNC-machined aluminum handles with high-speed aircraft-grade bearings, it offers a "ballistic" spin with zero friction.

Key Features & Specifications
Handle Construction: 5.5” CNC-machined aircraft-grade aluminum.
Handle Diameter: 0.5" (12.7mm) slim-profile handles for a minimalist grip.
Bearing System: Fully shielded, high-speed custom bearings for frictionless rotation.
Cable: 120" (10 ft) Clear-Coated 5/64" (1.9mm) speed cable—thinner and lighter than standard 3/32" cables.
Weight: Extremely lightweight design to reduce forearm fatigue during high-rep sets.
Origin: Made in the USA.
Sizing and Adjustment Instructions
The SR-343 is a "one-size-fits-most" rope that must be manually adjusted and cut to the athlete's height.
Measure: Stand on the center of the 1.9mm cable with one foot.
Length Check: Pull the handles toward your chest. For elite speed work, many athletes prefer the handles to reach just below the armpit.
Adjust: Slide the adjustable set screw to the desired position using a small screwdriver.
Test: Perform a few jumps to ensure the arc is tight and efficient.
Trim: Use high-quality wire cutters to trim the excess cable. Leave approximately 1 inch for future micro-adjustments and apply the included rubber end cap.
Maintenance and Surface Recommendations
Surface Selection: This rope uses a very thin 1.9mm cable. Use only on rubber gym flooring or a jump rope mat. Use on concrete, asphalt, or any abrasive surface will strip the coating and break the wire almost immediately.
Bearing Care: The bearings are fully shielded and high-speed. Keep them free of excessive chalk and moisture. If the spin feels restricted, a single drop of high-speed machine oil can be applied to the swivel head.
Storage: Always coil the rope loosely. Due to the thinness of the 1.9mm cable, it is more susceptible to permanent "kinking" if folded sharply.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q: How does the SR-343 differ from the SR-2? A: The SR-343 is lighter and features a smaller handle diameter (0.5" vs 0.675") and a thinner cable (1.9mm vs 2.3mm). It is built specifically for maximum speed and triple-under efficiency.
Q: Can I use a standard 3/32" cable with these handles? A: Yes. While it comes with the 1.9mm cable, the SR-343 handles are compatible with standard Rogue 3/32" Speed Cables.
Q: Is this rope suitable for beginners? A: This is an "Expert" level rope. Because the cable is so light, it provides very little sensory feedback. Beginners may find it difficult to "feel" the rope's position and may prefer the Rogue SR-1 or SR-3.
Q: What happens if I use this on concrete? A: The thin coating on the 1.9mm cable will wear out rapidly, leading to wire fraying. We strongly recommend a Rogue Jump Rope Mat for outdoor use.
