Overview
The Torque Fitness TANK™ MX Weight Horns & Stacking Kit is a specialized dual-purpose accessory designed exclusively for the TANK MX model. This kit addresses two critical needs for high-performance training environments: providing the ability to add weight plates for increased traction and enabling space-efficient storage by allowing multiple MX units to be stacked vertically. It is also a required component for facilities wishing to attach the Torque Group Anchor Station to their MX sled.

What’s Included in the Kit
(2) Weight Horns: Solid steel posts, 8.1” (200mm) tall, featuring a protective nylon covering to prevent metal-on-metal damage to weight plates.
(2) Stacking Receivers: Custom brackets that mount to the bottom of the TANK MX frame. These receivers are designed to securely accept the weight horns from the sled stacked below it.
Key Features and Specifications
Compatibility: Designed specifically for the Torque TANK MX push sled.
Storage Efficiency: Enables vertical stacking of TANK MX units (up to 3 high), significantly reducing the storage footprint in commercial gyms or performance centers.
Traction Support: Allows for the addition of Olympic weight plates to pin the tires to the ground, ensuring the magnetic resistance system remains fully engaged during high-torque pulling or towing exercises.
Dimensions: 8.35” Height x 4.33” Length x 2.76” Width.
Installation: All components bolt directly into existing mounting holes on the TANK MX frame using standard hardware.
Color: Black.
Performance & Storage Benefits
Optimized Traction: In high-speed towing or backward dragging, the front wheels of a sled can sometimes lift. The weight horns allow you to add just enough load to maintain 100% tire contact with the floor.
Vertical Portability: Makes it possible to transport multiple TANK MX units at once when stacked, ideal for moving equipment between indoor and outdoor training zones.
Facility Organization: Stacking units 3-high turns three sleds into the floor-space equivalent of one, a major benefit for collegiate weight rooms and CrossFit boxes.
Group Training Hub: Once installed, the weight horns serve as the mounting point for the Group Anchor Station, allowing the MX to function as a stationary base for battle rope and band training.
Maintenance and Care
Fastener Inspection: Regularly check the bolts securing the stacking receivers to the bottom of the frame. Vibration from use can cause hardware to settle.
Nylon Horn Care: Wipe the nylon covers of the weight horns with a damp cloth to remove chalk and dirt, ensuring plates slide on and off smoothly.
Stacking Safety: When stacking units, always ensure the weight horns are fully seated within the receivers of the unit above to prevent tipping or instability.
Hardware: If removing the kit for any reason, keep the mounting bolts with the receivers to prevent loss.
Warranty Information
Torque Fitness provides a 10-year warranty on the frame and welds, and a 1-year warranty on parts, finish, workmanship, and materials.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Will this kit work with the TANK M4? A: No. While similar, this specific stacking kit is hardware-mapped only for the TANK MX model.
Q: Do I need weight plates for the stacking to be stable? A: No. The stacking receivers and weight horns provide the structural stability for stacking. You should actually remove all weight plates from the horns before stacking the units.
Q: Does it come with the TANK MX? A: No. This is an accessory kit only. The TANK MX must be purchased separately.
Q: How high can I stack the MX units? A: Torque recommends stacking the TANK MX units no more than three units high for safety and stability.
