Overview
The Rogue FT-1 Functional Trainer is a modular, heavy-duty cable system designed to provide the versatility of a commercial functional trainer within a space-efficient footprint. Inspired by U.S. Navy Veteran Nick Gills, the FT-1 integrates two CT-1 Cable Towers with Rogue’s Monster Series uprights. This unique design allows the unit to serve as both a high-end dual-cable station and a comprehensive storage rack for dumbbells, kettlebells, and plates.

Performance Benefits
Multi-Planar Movement: The swiveling pulley housing allows for natural movement patterns in any direction, making it ideal for athletic training, rehabilitation, and isolation work.
Dual-User Capability: With two independent cable towers, two athletes can perform different exercises simultaneously.
Hybrid Utility: Unlike standalone trainers, the FT-1 doubles as a Monster Storage Rack, maximizing floor space by consolidating cable work and equipment storage into one 90.5" x 47" footprint.
Dynamic Resistance: Integrated plastic-covered band attachment pegs at the top and bottom of the weight stacks allow for the addition of Monster Bands to create variable resistance.
Smooth Ergonomics: The knurled stainless steel adjustment handles provide a secure grip and easy "pop-pin" height transitions.
Maintenance and Care
Guide Rod Lubrication: Apply a teflon-based dry lubricant to the weight stack guide rods every 3 months. Avoid wet oils or grease that can attract dust and cause binding.
Cable Inspection: Monthly checks for "bird-caging" (fraying) or cracking in the nylon jacket. Replace cables immediately if the steel core is visible.
Pulley Cleaning: Wipe the 6” aluminum pulleys with a microfiber cloth to remove chalk and dust. Ensure the UHMW covers are clear of obstructions.
Upholstery & Grips: Wipe down leather tricep straps and handles after use with a mild soap solution to prevent salt corrosion from sweat.
Fastener Check: Regularly verify that the unit remains securely bolted to the floor and that all crossmember hardware is tight.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Can I use this in a garage with 8-foot or 9-foot ceilings? A: No. The FT-1 stands 107.5” (nearly 9 feet) tall. You will need a minimum of 9.5 feet of clearance to safely assemble and operate the unit.
Q: Does the FT-1 include the storage shelves shown in some photos? A: No. The standard FT-1 includes the two towers and connecting crossmembers. Storage shelves (Dumbbell/Kettlebell/Bumper shelves) must be added separately.
Q: Is this compatible with Monster Lite attachments? A: The main uprights are 3x3" with 1" holes (Monster Series). While some 5/8" attachments can be forced to work with adapters, it is designed for Monster Series compatibility.
Q: Why is there a 2:1 ratio? A: The 2:1 ratio provides 8–10 feet of cable travel, which is essential for functional movements like lunging or sprinting with the cable, and it makes the 10 lb increments feel like 5 lb jumps.
