Performance Benefits
Joint Protection: The neutral grip and varied angles reduce external rotation of the shoulder and strain on the wrists and elbows, making it ideal for lifters with existing injuries or those looking to prevent them.
Increased Range of Motion: The cambered frame allows the bar to pass further toward the chest than a flat multi-grip bar, providing a deeper stretch and increased muscle recruitment.
Maneuverability: Thinner than many other Swiss bars, the Kadillac is easier to navigate through the "face" portion of an overhead press or a bicep curl.
Stability: The cambered design lowers the center of mass relative to the hand placement, naturally increasing bar stability during heavy pressing.
Assembly & Tools
The Kadillac Bar features removable sleeves to reduce shipping costs. All required hardware is included:
9/16” Wrench
7/32” Hex Key
Maintenance and Care
Knurl Cleaning: Regularly clear chalk and debris from the knurled handles using a synthetic (nylon) bristle brush.
Powder-coat Care: Wipe down the frame with a damp cloth and mild soap to remove sweat and oils. Avoid using metal brushes on the powder-coated frame, as they will scratch and damage the finish.
Sleeve Care: Periodically apply a light coat of 3-in-1 oil to the zinc or matte black sleeves to preserve the finish and prevent surface oxidation.
Racking: Because of the wide frame, precision is required when re-racking to avoid contact with the uprights. Using J-cups with UHMW plastic liners is highly recommended to protect the bar's powder coat.
Warranty Information
The Kabuki Kadillac Bar is typically backed by a Lifetime Warranty against bending and construction defects.
Coverage: Applies to the original purchaser.
Exclusions: Does not cover normal wear on the powder-coat or zinc finishes, nor damage caused by negligence (e.g., dropping the bar on safety pins, boxes, or benches).
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q: Will this fit on my standard 47" or 49" rack? A: Yes. The bar is designed with a rackable portion that fits any standard power rack between 40.5” and 52.5”.
Q: Can I use standard collars with this bar? A: Yes. Unlike many specialty bars that require specialized collars, the Kadillac Bar has standard 1.91" diameter sleeves compatible with all standard Olympic barbell collars (like Rogue HG 2.0 or OSO collars).
Q: Why does the bar feel like it wants to "roll" during rows? A: Because the center of mass is below the handles, the bar wants to stay in a "downward" position. This is beneficial for bench pressing but requires some grip stabilization during rowing movements.
Q: Can I use this bar for squats? A: No. This is a multi-grip pressing bar. For a specialty squat bar, see the Kabuki Transformer Bar.
