Overview
The Rogue SR-343 Replacement Cable is a specialized, ultra-thin speed cable designed exclusively for the Rogue SR-343 Mach Speed Rope. At just 5/64” in diameter, it is significantly lighter and thinner than the standard 3/32” speed cables found on other SR-series ropes. This minimalist design is intended for competitive athletes who require the highest possible rotation speed for triple-unders and elite-level double-unders.

Performance Benefits
Extreme Velocity: The reduced diameter of the 5/64" cable minimizes air resistance, allowing the athlete to move the rope faster with less physical effort.
Reduced Fatigue: The lightweight nature of the cable reduces the "swing weight," which helps prevent forearm and shoulder burnout during high-rep competition sets.
Full Adjustability: The 10-foot length can be custom-cut to fit athletes of any height.
Sizing and Installation Instructions
To maintain the "Mach" speed of the SR-343, precise sizing is critical.
Measure: Feed the bare end of the cable through the Mach handles. Stand on the center of the cable with one foot.
Determine Length: Pull handles up to chest/armpit level. Advanced speed jumpers often prefer a shorter length to tighten the arc for efficiency.
Secure: Slide the provided adjustable set screw to your chosen length and tighten firmly.
Test: perform several jumps to ensure the rope clears your head and feet comfortably.
Trim: Use wire cutters to trim the excess. Replace the rubber end cap over the cut end to prevent wire fraying.
Maintenance and Surface Recommendations
Surface Restriction: Due to the ultra-thin 5/64" diameter and thin nylon coating, this cable must only be used on smooth rubber gym mats. Using it on concrete, asphalt, or wood will destroy the coating and break the inner wire almost immediately.
Storage: Coil the rope loosely for storage. Avoid sharp folds or kinks, as the thin wire is highly susceptible to permanent "memory" bends that can trip the user.
Inspection: Regularly check the set screw and the cable for signs of wear. If any wire strands are visible through the nylon coating, replace the cable immediately.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q: Can I use this cable with my SR-1 or SR-2 handles? A: While it may fit through the eyelets, this cable is specifically balanced for the lightweight CNC-machined handles of the SR-343 Mach Speed Rope. For other ropes, we recommend the standard 2.3mm SR Replacement Cables.
Q: Why is this cable thinner than my last one? A: The SR-343 is designed for "Mach" speeds. The 5/64" diameter is 20% thinner than standard speed cables, providing less drag for competitive speed jumping.
Q: Does it come in different colors? A: Currently, the specialized 5/64" replacement cable is available only in Black.
Q: Can I buy these in bulk? A: Currently, this specific cable is sold as a single replacement unit.
