Overview
Rogue Friction Grip KG Change Plates are high-performance, IWF-approved competition discs designed for rapid weight adjustments without the need to remove or adjust barbell collars. Featuring a rubberized "Friction Grip" interior coating, these plates are engineered to stay securely in place when loaded on the outside of a collar. This technology, developed following the "1KG Rule" introduction in 2005, significantly reduces downtime during events and keeps the training focus on the athlete's performance.

Performance Benefits
Fast Weight Progression: Allows athletes to add incremental weight (as little as 1KG total) instantly without adjusting the primary collars.
Anti-Slip Stability: The friction grip prevents the change plates from shifting or vibrating off the bar during explosive Olympic movements or high-repetition sets.
Competition-Grade Standards: Ensures that training sessions mimic the exact equipment and loading protocols found on the competition platform.
Quick Identification: Standard IWF color-coding (Red, Blue, Yellow, Green, White) ensures easy recognition for athletes and coaches.
Maintenance and Care
Cleaning: Wipe with a damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid chemical solvents that could degrade the rubberized friction coating.
Surface Care: Minimal wear of the rubber center is normal with repeated use and does not impact the structural performance or weight accuracy.
Compatibility Check: Due to the extremely tight "Friction Grip" tolerance, these plates may be difficult to slide onto barbells that do not meet precision Olympic sleeve diameter specifications.
Storage: Store on a dedicated change plate pin or in a dry environment to maintain the integrity of the friction coating.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Why are these so much tighter on the bar than standard change plates? A: This is intentional. The "Friction Grip" is designed to hold the plate securely on the outside of a collar so it won't move during a lift. They are intended for a precision, snug fit on high-quality competition barbells.
Q: Do I still need to use collars? A: Yes. Your main weight (bumpers) should be secured with a collar. The Friction Grip plates are specifically designed to be loaded outside of that collar for quick weight jumps.
Q: Can these be used on any barbell? A: While they fit standard 50mm sleeves, their tight tolerance means they work best on high-quality bars (like Rogue's competition series). Some budget or non-spec bars may have slightly larger sleeves, making these very difficult to load.
