Performance Benefits
Space Efficiency: Wall-mounting utilizes vertical space, clearing floor area and providing a professional, "armory" aesthetic.
Universal Cradle Design: The unique rung shape safely supports standard 20kg, 15kg, and specialized bars (like EZ Curl or Axel bars) by either the shaft or the sleeve.
Modular Width: Because the brackets are separate, you can mount them at any distance apart to accommodate different bar lengths, from standard 7-foot Olympic bars to shorter technique or curl bars.
Maintenance and Care
Bracket Care: Wipe the powder-coated steel with a mild soap and water solution to remove chalk and dust.
Liner Care: If using UHMW liners, periodically wipe them down to remove dust. If they become damaged or excessively worn, they can be replaced.
Hardware Check: Occasionally verify that the wall-mounting lag bolts are tight, especially in high-traffic environments.
Installation Instructions
Determine Spacing: Choose a width that allows the bar's shaft to rest in the cradles. If using plastic liners, ensure the brackets are spaced to catch the shaft only. Without liners, Rogue recommends setting them wide enough to hold the bar by the sleeves.
Locate Studs: Use a stud finder to locate structural studs. Do not mount the Gun Rack to drywall alone.
Mounting Hardware: Mounting bolts are not included. Because the mounting holes are 0.375", Rogue recommends using 5/16" diameter lag bolts. (Note: 3/8" bolts may be too tight for the pre-drilled holes).
Secure Brackets: Level the brackets and fasten them to the wall using the chosen hardware and washers.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Can I mount this to my Rogue Power Rack? A: Although designed for wall mounting, users have successfully attached this rack to Monster Lite or Infinity racks using 3/8" x 4" bolts, washers, and nuts (the hole spacing aligns with the rack's holes).
Q: Does it fit specialty bars? A: Yes. The 1-inch deep cradles fit most specialty bars, including Safety Squat Bars and Kadillac Bars.
Q: Do the plastic inserts come with the screws to attach them? A: Yes. If you purchase the "with Plastic" version, all hardware required to attach the liners to the steel brackets is included.
