Estimated Time: 15–20 minutes
Number of Steps: 3
Issue: Upgrading the console hardware to the M2 model for enhanced functionality.
Required Tools:
Phillips head screwdriver (included)
Torx T27 tool (included)
Detailed Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Remove the old console: Use the Phillips head screwdriver to remove the four screws on the back of the current console. Disconnect the A and B cable connectors, then remove the old console from the bike. The removed screws can be discarded.
2. Install the adapter plate: Take the new cable (7) and connect the A and B connectors. Carefully push the connected cable back into the console mast and place the M2 adapter plate (2) onto the top of the mast. Ensure there is approximately 10cm/4" of cable visible to connect to the new console, and verify the cable is running through the groove on the back of the adapter plate to prevent trapping or pinching. Secure the adapter plate to the console arm using the Phillips screwdriver (6) and four new M5*8 screws (5) provided.
3. Mount the M2 console: Secure the M2 console to the adapter plate using the provided Torx T27 tool (9), the M8*75mm bolt (3), and the M8 lock nut. Ensure the hex nut is properly inserted into the hex recess on the right side of the M2 console. Finally, plug the sensor cable into the right-hand side of the new M2 console.
